I think I need to update my post for streaming sites now, shucks. No original dramas any longer (but don’t quote me on that). Now that DF is gone, they are just Viki titles. That being said, originally their Korean dramas were both DramaFever and Viki titles. Cheapest option is the limited commercials for $7.99/month.

Hulu has gotten rid of its free streaming model and now forces you to subscribe. Amazon Prime is only free to stream if you have the Prime account, obviously. I haven’t found paid dramas with English subtitles on it yet. I have a question on Viki…when they have dramas “not available in your region,” can you find out if they are, in fact, available in any region? Viki carries some defunct DF titles, but they aren’t available here in the US right now. You actually may get some Korean content faster through KOCOWA than necessarily through Viki, but don’t quote me on that. KOCOWA offers monthly, annual, and daily memberships. You can always skip the middleman and subscribe to KOCOWA itself if you only care about Korean content. You can still watch for free, or their first subscription allows you to access Chinese, Japanese, and some Korean titles, with their final tier offering you the premium KOCOWA content.
Viki, since partnering with KOCOWA, offers tiered subscriptions for their content. I do wish we could access them in the US, but I get it, it has to do with the regions they acquired rights for. VIU, which streams a lot of Asian dramas that were available on DramaFever, is available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, India, Iraq, the Kingdom of Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Myanmar. Daily dramas and cable dramas can be the worst to find alternate sites to watch. Typical of me to put things off until you can’t get them. There are tons of dramas they used to have that I planned to finish “one day.” Oh well.
Going through the list of former DramaFever titles has made me realize what an idiot I have been for never finishing anything. This is seriously what some of us dramawatchers need right now. Again, I am US-based, so I cannot guarantee availability of titles if you live in another country. I will try to throw dramas onto this list if I know they were streaming on DramaFever, so you can hopefully finish watching them elsewhere. You all should hopefully know the drill by now, I only post links to LEGAL streaming sites.
